Newsletters are issued each Friday of each month to keep everybody in the school community informed of events in school. They are also found on the News and Events page of this website.
Letters related to events happening in specific classes are issued during the year. Copies of letters that have been issued are kept in a ‘Newsletters and Communications’ file in the main entrance area and you are welcome to take copies of these as required.
The school is on Twitter (@moor__green) where information and alerts can be found.
We operate a text messaging service to get information to parents quickly (e.g. in the event of poor weather); therefore please make sure we have an up-to-date mobile phone number.
If your child has an accident in school which requires attention of some degree, they are issued with a green and white slip. This provides additional information about the nature of the accident and the action taken.
Emergency procedures in the event of closure
The following procedures will be followed if the school is required to close before the usual end to the day due to an emergency:
1) All parents/carers will be contacted via text message using the contact details held by the school at that time.
2) Announcements will be made on the school’s Twitter page and on the website.
3) Parents of children who have not been collected at the agreed time will be contacted by telephone if the school have not received any notification of possible late collection.
If the school requires evacuation, parents will be informed via text message and children must then be collected from: Queensbridge School, Queensbridge Road, Moseley, Birmingham, B13 8QB
Closure in the event of bad weather
If the school has to close because of adverse weather conditions, you will be notified by text message. We will also send announcements out via Twitter and on the home page of this website. Local media also carries information about school closures. If you do not hear from us, school is open.
